James A. Wachsmuth, M.Ed., Ph.D., completed the TAC in Catawba County, North Carolina in 2013.  James holds both a masters in education and a Ph.D. in community agency counseling and is a L.P.C. in North Carolina.  He currently works with Catawba County/Family Net as an Outpatient Therapist and is accepting new clients at this time.  His practice extends to individuals and families in Catawba County and surrounding counties.  James’ areas of clinical specialization are child and adolescent adoption and adoption-related issues, childhood trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, parental rejection, depression and behavioral issues.  He also specializes in working with adoptive parents dealing with grief/loss, identity, and intimacy and relationship issues.  His work also extends to adults experiencing anxiety, depression, abuse, and marriage/relationship issues.  James brings personal experience to his clinical practice as he was adopted as an infant.
