Join us for the NTDC: A Deeper Dive Virtual Sessions Series!

Families in the Northern region of Virginia! This summer, we will take a deeper dive into some of the most frequently requested topics offered through NTDC. Each month, we will focus on one topic and meet for two 1-hour sessions. These FREE virtual sessions are designed with a blend of tangible information (short videos, handouts) and interactive discussion and activities.

We believe that families learn best from sharing their own lived experiences so please plan to actively participate.

Families can sign up for any or all of the following topics!

Tuesday, September 16th and 23rd from 1-2 PM
Life Story: Birth and Adoption Story – These sessions are designed to help adoptive parents understand the importance of having ongoing conversations with their children about their birth and adoption story. The theme discusses how empowering children with the missing pieces of their story can help them build trust in family relationships, and can lead to stronger connections with birth family members. In this theme, adoptive parents learn how to have on-going conversation with their children about their life story in an open fashion. Register

This event is hosted by the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) and is funded by a generous grant from the Virginia Department of Social Services. This event is for adoptive families living within the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) service region, which includes: Frederick/Winchester, Clark County, Loudoun County, Warren County, Shenandoah County, Falls Church/Arlington/Fairfax/Alexandria, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Manassas/Manassas Park, Prince William County, Page County, Rappahannock County, Culpeper County, Stafford County, King George County, Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg, Rockingham/Harrisonburg, Greene County, Orange County, and Louisa County.
