At the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.), we understand the significance of providing resources to help adoptive families thrive. As part of our continued efforts to disseminate these supports, we are proud to offer a new, free resource: C.A.S.E.’s Topical Briefs.
The Topical Briefs are short articles addressing specific topics related to raising adopted, foster, or kinship children and youth. The briefs focus on issues that many families struggle with, such as when and how to share difficult information with your child, understanding how grief may manifest, and helping children respond to intrusive questions they may receive from others.
Several of the briefs provide beneficial information based on a child’s age or age range—common feelings, ways to discuss adoption with your child, and how to support your child if they are ready to search for their birth family. Each topical brief is filled with rich content and additional resources that parents and caregivers can use to improve their understanding of adoption-related issues, providing a clearer lens through which they see their children so they can learn how to best support them.
C.A.S.E.’s Topical Briefs are more than just articles—they’re tools designed to empower adoptive, foster, and kinship families with knowledge and confidence. Whether you’re navigating a tough conversation, seeking to better understand your child’s emotions, or simply looking for ways to strengthen your connection, these briefs offer practical, insightful guidance. We invite you to explore these free resources and discover how these focused articles can make a lasting difference for your family. Together, we can continue building stronger, more informed, and more supported families.
