Donor Privacy Policy

The Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) is committed to protecting your privacy. C.A.S.E. will not sell, share or trade our donors’ names or personal information, including email and physical addresses and phone numbers with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

What information do we collect? When you sign up for our newsletter, donate, register for an event or purchase an item, we may collect your name, postal address, zip code, telephone numbers, organization name, email address, credit card, bank information or billing information. C.A.S.E. does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or allow minors to provide us with their personal information without parent or guardian consent. If you are under 18, do not send any information to C.A.S.E. unless you have your parent’s or guardian’s permission. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from anyone under 18 without consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

How do we use your information? We use the information you provide to process the transaction you have requested, to improve our website and respond to your feedback, and to send periodic emails and mailings to provide you with information about C.A.S.E.’s work and services.

How do we protect your information? We use a variety of security measures to maintain the security of your personal information. For online transactions, C.A.S.E. never directly accesses any of your credit card information, it is processed through secure servers by third-party providers (independently certified as Level 1 Service Providers in compliance with all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards). Transactions through the C.A.S.E. donation page and store are handled by the SafeSave Gateway or via PayPal and data is transmitted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption.

Do we use cookies? A “cookie” is a small piece of data sent to your browser from C.A.S.E.’s web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. We use cookies to collect non-identifying information about the length of time spent on our website and pages accessed while visiting, so we can aggregate that information and use it to improve the site’s content and functionality. You can manually delete all cookies within your browser privacy settings. You can also set your browser to not accept cookies, although this may prevent you from using some of the services offered by C.A.S.E.’s website.
