We often see that staff who have the essential skills and tools, along with best practice coaching, have increased competency and a sense of accomplishment in their work. The NTI Team has planned and facilitated Virtual Supervision and Coaching Sessions for state child welfare agencies and coalitions. Your team could be next!  See some of our highlights in 2025:

  • Senior Adoption Consultants from the Indiana Dept. of Child Welfare participated in virtual coaching sessions upon completion of the child welfare professionals and child welfare supervisor training, which included four 2-hour monthly sessions covering two modules each. The NTI training was mandated as part of Indiana’s staff development offerings and will continue to be mandated for new staff.
  • The NTI team partnered with the Adoptive and Foster Family Coalition of NY (AFFCNY) and Open Discussion Counseling, LLC of St. Louis, MO and facilitated the 4th virtual coaching cohort of mental health professionals. Participants were enrolled in the NTI Mental Health Professionals training and participated in five 2-hour monthly coaching sessions covering two modules each month. Most of the clinicians in this cohort have their own practice and are working to integrate the knowledge and tools into their clinical practice.

  • Child Welfare Staff from the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition (FACC) of St. Louis, MO participated in the NTI child welfare professional and child welfare supervisor virtual coaching sessions which included seven 1-hour monthly sessions, covering one module per session. FACC is also a Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) site.
  • Policy Consultants from the Oregon Dept. of Human Services participated in virtual coaching sessions while completing the NTI Child Welfare Supervisor training. Meeting once a month for 2 hours, the group engaged in focused discussions and applied the tools and strategies from the training to their work. The NTI Implementation Specialist looks forward to continued collaboration with ODHS as they prepare for a system-wide NTI implementation this Fall.
