Are you ready to lace up your hiking boots and hit the trails?

Adoptive parents and children are invited to join Children’s Home Society of Virginia (CHSVA) and the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) for a day of scenery, nature and an (up to) 3 mile hike. Let’s enjoy the great outdoors together!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with fellow adoptive families and children and make some new friends along the way. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just starting out, everyone is welcome to join us on this exciting adventure.

So grab your water bottle, sunscreen, and sense of adventure, and let’s hit the trails together! Along the hike, families will have time to connect and kids will have time to snack on trail mix (please note allergies in the registration) and complete a fun activity in the woods.

This event is intended for adoptive families living within the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) service region (Frederick/Winchester, Clark Co, Loudoun Co, Warren Co, Shenandoah Co, Falls Church/Arlington/ Fairfax/ Alexandria, Fauquier Co, Manassas/ Manassas Park, Prince William Co, Page Co, Rappahannock Co, Culpeper Co, Stafford Co, King George Co, Spotsylvania Co, Fredericksburg, Rockingham/ Harrisonburg, Greene Co, Orange County, Louisa Co.) with adopted children ages 0-21.

This opportunity is provided to families in our service region for free thanks to our partnership with Virginia Department of Social Services.

*A map will be sent out to all participants prior to the event. The hiking trail is up to 3 miles in distance; however, actual hiking distance will be assessed by the trail leader during the hike.
