Support Services Offered

C.A.S.E.’s highly skilled therapists are Training in Adoption Competency™(TAC) trained, the only evidence based accredited program in the country. This expertise equips our therapists with special knowledge and experience in treating children and families facing challenges involving identity, trauma, loss & grief, attachment and/or executive functioning

Northern Post Adoption Consortium Service Map

C.A.S.E. offers FREE post-adoption services and supports to adoptive families in Northern Virginia through the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC).

These services are available to families thanks to a generous grant from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

State of Maryland & Flag

The Maryland Post Adoption Program is funded through the Maryland Department of Human Services. C.A.S.E. has partnered with the state of Maryland to increase permanency for finalized adoptions with the majority of families served reporting improvements in their child’s ability to communicate with friends and family and problem-solve.

If you are a Maryland resident, you can qualify for free individual and family psychotherapy, support groups and live and pre-recorded webinars.

Eligibility:

  • Maryland families who have adopted publicly, privately or internationally.
  • Any post-finalization family whose child is 18 and under.
  • Any new post-adopt families to C.A.S.E.
  • Services are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Montgomery County Maryland Map

Montgomery County Post Adoption Program is funded through the Montgomery County Department of Health & Human Services and is one of C.A.S.E.’s longest standing programs providing education and therapy to families before and after adoption of children from foster care.

If you are a Montgomery County resident, you may qualify for free therapy through this grant program. You can ask for more information about qualifications during your initial appointment setup.

Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption that is bringing children waiting to be adopted from foster care one step closer to safe, loving and permanent homes.

C.A.S.E. Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters serve the counties of Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Frederick County, Harford County, Montgomery County and Wicomico County. Our recruiters work with smaller caseloads, ensuring that they can provide these children with the attention, resources and support they need and find the adoptive families they deserve.
