National Training Institute

The C.A.S.E. National Training Institute is the culmination of more than 25 years of hands-on clinical expertise with foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Informed by the power of this experience, C.A.S.E. has become a national leader in adoption, foster and kinship competency trainings to enhance the capacity and competency of child welfare, mental health and school professionals from foundational understanding to comprehensive, clinical skills.

The National Training Institute offers an array of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and accredited programs and is home to the signature and award-winning programs: Training for Adoption Competency (TAC)™, National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training Initiative (NTI)™, W.I.S.E. Up!® and Beneath The Mask.

 

 

C.A.S.E. Training Programs

The array of training programs include both free and fee-based trainings, web-based and instructor-led programs, virtual and in-person options, and a range of topics to meet the training needs of professionals supporting children and their adoptive, foster, and kinship families.

TAC logo for Accordion

Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) Curriculum is the nation’s premiere assessment-based certificate program for training mental health practitioners and developing adoption competency skills. Through classroom and remote instruction, as well as clinical case consultation, TAC students master key clinical skills that support adopted children and their foster, adoptive and kinship families. TAC has 19 training centers across the country, over 1,800 graduates (and growing) and received accreditation from the Institute of Credentialing Excellence (ICE), making it a recognized top-tier program dedicated to public protection and excellence in practice.

The National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training Initiative (NTI) is a free web-based training that enables you to better address the mental health & developmental needs of children in foster, adoptive, or kinship families.

C.A.S.E. certifies agencies to facilitate the W.I.S.E. Up! program with families in their communities through the W.I.S.E. Up! Train the Trainer program.
