Training Mental Health Professionals

Created by the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) in 2009, the Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) is a comprehensive, evidence-informed post-Master’s training program for mental health professionals that is available nationwide. TAC is making a significant impact on the quality of mental health services for members of the adoption kinship network.

In 2016, 231 clinicians nationwide completed the 72-hour TAC
TAC participants scored 43.4 points higher on post-tests than comparison groups
60% of TAC participants reported improvements in 6 aspects of their clinical practice. 100% reported improvements in at least 2
