Shahla Abdi, LMSW serves clients via telehealth throughout the state of Maryland. She received her Master of Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America. Shahla worked in Montgomery County Child Welfare Services under the Family Preservation Unit, supporting the Kinship Navigator Program and the Sobriety Treatment and Recovery Teams (START) Program. She is passionate about supporting youths’ identity formation and attachment through a family systems lens. Shahla has also worked in family shelter services, supervised visitation services, crisis services/housing stabilization services, and as an off-site therapist working with children and families in the home in order to bridge critical barriers to treatment.
