Kiran has been a passionate supporter of C.A.S.E. and has served on the Board of Directors for over 7 years. Kiran is the Director of the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) Training Institute. She is responsible for providing oversight and ensuring that all staff at JSSA along with the community have access to high- quality training and continuing education opportunities. JSSA is the provider of mental health, hospice, senior services and premier home care services in Maryland and Virginia.
Kiran has over 20 years of clinical experience and has launched, implemented, and sustained successful programs to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families. She managed, directed and supervised multiple behavioral health programs and projects in communities, schools, non-profit and for-profit settings. Kiran has provided technical assistance, consultation, coaching and training to local government organizations, non-profit and for-profit agencies as co-founder of Stratigix Consulting. She contributed to strategic planning initiatives related to behavioral health issues and delivered related technical assistance (TA) to more than 450 local and State grantee organizations served by the $75 million Clinical TA Project funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
As a clinician, she provides individual and family therapy in her private practice in Bethesda, MD. She has provided clinical care in several diverse settings from individual private practice to schools to community-based mental health agencies. Kiran obtained her Master’s in Clinical Community Psychology from Mansfield University in PA and her Post Master’s Certification in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
