Karen Knodel, LSW-PA, MSW is the Manager of Permanency Services and Grants at Diakon Adoption and Foster Care. She manages the Older Child Matching Initiative (OCMI) which focuses on finding adoptive families for older youth (10 and older). Karen oversees OCMI services for all of Pennsylvania  This grant services 66 counties in Pennsylvania through nine recruiters throughout the state.  Areas of specialization include the preparation of youth and families for adoption of youth who have experienced trauma, as well as support of families and youth as they adjust to their new family together.
