Anel Iapalucci is a second-year MSW student at the University of Maryland, Shady Grove. In her first year, she interned as a school-based mental health service counselor at Northwood High School. Anel earned her undergraduate degree at Frostburg University with a degree in social work. Upon graduation, Anel worked as a Community Support Specialist at McClendon Center in DC and as a Case Manager at East River working towards reducing truancy in Ward 7 of DC. Currently, Anel is working as a Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager with The National Center for Children and Families working towards housing permanency for families in DC.

Anel along with her four sisters were internationally adopted, which inspired her interest in CASE and pursue a career in adoption. Through her personal experience of adoption and having volunteered with adoption agencies, she sees the benefits in adoption mental health services and is eager to work with families at CASE to address their needs.
