VA TEENS: Virtual Teen Adoptee/Guardianship Identity Group

Join us for a virtual support group this Fall!

Adolescence is a tumultuous time and being adopted adds another layer of complexity. The Northern Post-Adoption Consortium (NPAC), which includes both adoptive AND kinship teens, is pleased to offer a FREE virtual support group for high school-aged teens in grades 9-12 who were adopted or are in kinGAP or state-funded kinship subsidy families in the Northern Region* of Virginia.

Teens will focus on connecting with other youth in similar families, promoting identification as an adoptee or child in a kinship family, providing a safe space to share feelings and thoughts about their life stories and experiences and supporting their exploration of identity.

Teens will receive an Amazon gift card once they complete a survey on their experiences in the group.

Registration is limited and will close Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

Families are eligible for this event and NPAC services if they reside in the Northern region of Virginia and are one of the following:

A family with a finalized adoption (or a signed APA*) of a youth between the ages of 0 to 18 years; families with young adults under 21 may be eligible
KinGAP families
State-funded subsidy families

This event is hosted by Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) and the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) for families residing in the NPAC service region. The region includes: Frederick/Winchester, Clark County, Loudoun County, Warren County, Shenandoah County, Falls Church/Arlington/Fairfax/Alexandria, Fairfax County, Fauquier County, Manassas/Manassas Park, Prince William County, Page County, Rappahannock County, Culpeper County, Stafford County, King George County, Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg, Rockingham/Harrisonburg, Greene County, Orange County, and Louisa County.
