Adoptive parents and children are invited to join Children’s Home Society of Virginia (CHSVA) and the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) for a paint party. Chiara Jones, artist AND adoption worker, will lead a fun, interactive, and (sometimes) messy acrylic paint party. Snacks and bottles of water will be provided. For more information about the event, please contact Shamenese Robinson, Post Adoption Social Worker at shamenese@chsva.org. This event is for the whole family; please do not drop your children off alone. Parental supervision is needed throughout the event.

This event is free for adoptive families living within the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) service region (Frederick/Winchester, Clark Co, Loudoun Co, Warren Co, Shenandoah Co, Falls Church/Arlington/ Fairfax/ Alexandria, Fauquier Co, Manassas/ Manassas Park, Prince William Co, Page Co, Rappahannock Co, Culpeper Co, Stafford Co, King George Co, Spotsylvania Co, Fredericksburg, Rockingham/ Harrisonburg, Greene Co, Orange County, Louisa Co.) with adopted children ages 0-18. This opportunity is provided to families for free in our service region thanks to generous funding from the Virginia Department of Social Services.

Register as a family, but please reserve enough tickets for each person you are bringing, so that we can ensure that we have enough snacks and paint supplies on hand. Space is limited, so sign up soon!

Chiara Jones, MSW

Case Manager, C.A.S.E.

Chiara JonesChiara earned her Bachelor of Science in Women’s Studies from Towson University and her Master of Social Work from University of Maryland Baltimore. Her education and career have always focused on her passion for working with children and families and has been working in the field of foster care and adoption for over five years. Chiara has been working with C.A.S.E since November 2015. Before taking on the new role as Case Manager, Growing Together Campaign (GTC) Baltimore City, Chiara held the role of a Wendy’s Wonderful Recruiter and worked in our previous 3L program assisting foster youth who were aging out of the foster care system in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Chiara strongly believes that every child waiting to be adopted is adoptable. She values permanency, family and most importantly adoption. When Chiara worked with older youth aging out of foster care, she saw the negative impact and unfortunate outcomes of youth not having a permanent family and home of their own. She then vowed to advocate for every child and support their hopes and dreams.
