The adoption has been finalized. What now?
As a child welfare professional, you know how beneficial and crucial post-adoption support can be for families. That’s why C.A.S.E. is leading a partnership with Catholic Charities and Lutheran Family Services through grant funding from the Virginia Department of Social Services to offer post-adoption support to families in Northern, Western and Piedmont areas of Virginia.
EVERY family who has finalized an adoption from foster care in Virginia beginning July 2017 is eligible for services up to 12 months from the date of finalization. These services are provided at NO COST to the family.
Our case managers support families from a strength-based perspective, using a trauma-responsive and adoption-competent model to partner with families recently formed through adoption.
Over 85% of families providing feedback noted they were “Very Satisfied” with the services they have received or are currently receiving.
