Dear Friend,
Your support ensures long-term success for the foster and adopted children and families served by the Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.).
Due to their unique circumstances, adoptive families use clinical services at triple the rate reported by families formed by birth. Unfortunately, the mental health professionals these families visit often lack the training to meet their diverse and complex clinical needs. C.A.S.E. has built the expertise to meet their needs by providing therapy to over 6,000 families locally, while extending our Training for Adoption Competency (TAC) to clinicians nationally. In 2016 with your help, more families received adoption-competent support with 85% of your funds going to C.A.S.E. programs including counseling and training.
We hope you’ll enjoy reflecting with us on the difference we’ve made together as you review our 2016 Annual Report. This summary report highlights C.A.S.E.’s continued growth and effectiveness supported by 11 additional staff and a new office in Loudoun County, Virginia. You’ll find more details on the families we’ve helped, like Kaari and Lee Vasquez, as you continue through this online version which includes links to our audited financial statements and prior years’ reports.
Our national leadership and reach is made possible by you – our engaged partners, donors, volunteers and friends. Our efforts are inspired by the success of the families we serve in the D.C. metro area, and empowered by an expanding national cadre of trained mental health and child welfare professionals. Your investment in C.A.S.E. is stewarded by our 18-member Board of Directors. 2016 was an inspirational year for the Board as it elected a new Executive Committee and worked with BoardSource to assess its performance with funding from the Meyer Foundation. As a result, the Board remains committed to providing effective oversight, ensuring necessary resources are available, and guiding C.A.S.E. into the future.
We are deeply grateful for your continued trust in C.A.S.E. and thank you for your commitment.
Warm regards,
