Senior Vice President of NFP
Jack W. Abel is the Senior Vice President of NFP. He joined the organization in 1991 and now heads the firm’s operations, which services over 2,000 businesses in 50 states. NFP has grown to be the largest health and life insurer in the Washington Metropolitan area as ranked by the Washington Business Journal and has become a dominant player in Retirement Plan Consulting and Property Casualty Insurance as well.
Previously, Jack served as the Vice President of Richmarr Construction Corporation. His years of experience in the real estate and construction industry have helped guide NFP in serving top real estate, construction and development companies. He currently serves, or has served, on the National Advisory Board of United Healthcare, the CareFirst Broker Council, the Kaiser Permanente Broker Council, and has chaired the Advisory Board for National Financial Partners. Jack is also a Registered Representative of and offers securities, through Kestra Investment Services, LLC (Kestra IS).
Jack is actively involved in the community and has served as a board member for numerous local non-profits. These include Adoptions Together, Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, and the Jewish Community Center. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Jack is an adoptive parent and lives in Bethesda with his wife, Meryl, and has two children, Alex and Brooke, and five grandchildren.
