President, Carol M. Jacobsohn Foundation, Inc.
Hank Libby practiced corporate, securities and venture capital law for over twenty years in Washington, D.C. and operated a venture capital partnership and an investment advisory firm for twelve years. He currently serves as President of the Carol M. Jacobsohn Foundation, Inc., which focuses on funding educational, social and medical outreach programs to benefit underserved persons, primarily women and children. The Jacobsohn Foundation donated to over forty section 501 (c)(3) organizations in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, Maryland over the last 15 years, and three such organizations in Stuart and Martin County, Florida in 2017.
Hank is a long-time member of three nonprofit boards: President, Anne Arundel Community College Foundation; Chairman, Vision Workshops; Director, Boys and Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Previously, Hank served on the boards of the Community Foundation of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County and the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation. In 2016, the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce recognized Hank as “Advocate of the Year” for his involvement in education of young underserved minorities and medical outreach programs for the underserved. In Florida, Hank also serves on the boards of Project L.I.F.T., a vocational training school for students with emotional problems and/or substance abuse issues, and the Treasure Coast Philanthropy Council.
