Dear C.A.S.E. Families,
For many years, I have had the goal of providing our C.A.S.E. families with access to an ”in-house” child and adolescent psychiatrist. So many parents have shared with me their struggle to find a doctor who understood the complicated mental health needs of foster and adopted children.
The failure to have an integrated treatment plan for their children has been a great hardship for these families. In addition to our families’ needs, C.A.S.E. clinical staff has expressed interest in having a psychiatrist to provide them with consultation and guidance around the use of medication in their treatment planning.
In response to this critical service need, last September, in a partnership with Children’s National Medical Center, we were thrilled to bring consultative and direct services to C.A.S.E. through the expertise of Dr. Lisa M. Cullins. Dr. Cullins is the Training Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program and the Director of Outpatient Psychiatry at Children’s National Medical Center.
We invite you to take advantage of this service, and hope that we have made it easier for you to obtain the best care for your children. We are honored by your trust in C.A.S.E.’s expertise and commitment to providing adoption-competent mental health services in our community.
If you are a C.A.S.E. client and are interested in scheduling an appointment with Dr. Cullins, please contact us at 866.217.8534 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
