NTI focuses on key competencies that are critical to achieve adoption competency for both child welfare and mental health professionals. This webinar will explore the life-long process of adoption, including the factors that shape adjustment and either support or threaten children’s and family’s ongoing safety, permanency and well-being.
This webinar will focus on key concepts, approaches, tools and strategies presented in Module 8 of the Child Welfare training: The Lifelong Journey: Maintaining Children’s Stability and Well-being in Adoption and Guardianship Families and the correlating Module 10 of the Mental Health training: Family Stability and Wellness Post Permanency. These lessons explore the needs of children and families after adoption or guardianship services that help to prevent adoption disruption or dissolution.
