These are chance to focus on your self-care needs and receive strengths-based, adoption competent support from folks with firsthand knowledge of the adoptive parent experience.

This support group is open to all adoptive parents living in the northern region of Virginia. Registration is required.

Virtual groups will meet on the Last Tuesday of the month (Aug. 30th, Sept. 27th, Oct. 25th, Nov. 29th, Jan. 31st, Feb. 28th, Mar. 28th, Apr. 25th, May 30th, Jun. 27th) from 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Post Adoption Social Worker, Children’s Home Society of Virginia

Anna graduated from VCU’s Master of Social Work program in 2013 and became a licensed as a clinical social worker (LCSW) in June of 2022. Anna has worked with youth and families in the adoption and foster care realm in a variety of roles since 2013. Since 2018, Anna has been a part of the Post Adoption program with Children’s Home Society of Virginia, which has been a partner agency with the Northern Post Adoption Consortium (NPAC) since its inception in 2020. As both a Post Adoption Support Coach and by serving as the NPAC Co-Chair, Anna has been helping families navigate the challenges associated with attachment losses and trauma while advocating for improvements to services
in the community.
