SOLD OUT
This FREE webinar, presented by Laura Ornelas, LCSW, is centered on emotional and developmental needs of children in foster care or who
have been adopted. We’ll discuss how the expression of these needs is shown through children’s behavior and when and why the issues are
most likely to occur. Parents will build on knowledge they already have to “give themselves jobs” that can address their children’s specific
needs and behaviors. Parenting children who have experienced trauma and loss is not easy!
After the webinar, a series of six FREE support group sessions for parents will be offered and led by Laura Ornelas, LCSW. Participants
will be invited to reflect on their parenting challenges in a supportive and encouraging environment. Considerations from the webinar will be
used to spark ideas and strengthen the parenting journey. Join us for these honest conversations and come away with a renewed sense of
purpose and hope.
Participants will: A) come to understand what common behaviors of children who have experienced trauma and loss often look like; B)
be able to identify when and why specific behaviors are likely occurring; C) learn parental jobs that can be done to effectively address the children’s needs and behaviors.
Participation is limited to 25 people for the webinar and the support group sessions. Support groups will meet weekly on Mondays:
This webinar and support group is FREE, thanks to Jockey Being Family.
