Brianna, age 9, was adopted when she was younger, and has chosen to learn more about adoption and trauma for her Girl Scout Junior Bronze Award Project.
Help adopted kids feel happy by collecting 20 of each of the 8 adoption-themed books on her Amazon bookshelf and donate them to the adoption-competent therapists at C.A.S.E. to share with our young clients.
Simply purchase a book from Brianna’s Amazon bookshelf! The young children and their families who receive the guidance and support from C.A.S.E. will benefit from your generous gift.
My Speech: “On Sunday, January 6, 2019, I presented to the adult leaders of my Girl Scout Council in Silver Spring, Maryland. In my speech, I talked about my project and shared what I have learned. I told them about how I started my project and how I was able to get so many books donated.”
My Team: “Angel Powel is a counselor at Grassroots Crisis Center in Columbia, Maryland. She helps people who have problems and need help. She was adopted when she was a baby and she was also a Girl Scout in Virginia. I interviewed Angel and asked her about her job and her experience being adopted. I also told her about my project. It was helpful because it’s good to hear someone else’s experiences. That way, I can learn how to help adopted kids feel happy.”
