We are delighted to have expert Lynne White-Dixon lead us in exploring the important, critical knowledge and skills needed for parenting by adoption.
Lynne White-Dixon, LCSW has over 30 years of clinical practice with adopted children, adolescents and their families, as well as children in foster care and their foster parents. In addition to her private practice, Ms. White-Dixon is a nationally acclaimed trainer for the Kinship Center’s Adoption Clinical Training and co-teaches Preservice Training classes for prospective adoptive and foster families. She is a staff member at the California State University Monterey Bay’s Personal Growth & Counseling Center where she supervises and trains MSW students and Post-Masters interns. In her many years of practice, Ms. White-Dixon has supported parents in meeting the many challenges involved in building families by adoption and has witnessed their successes.
