More than 100 adopted children and 150 parents attended C.A.S.E.’s 20th Annual KAN conference in 2016. We sincerely thank everyone who was able to be a part of the event! We were so honored to have Rita Soronen, President and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and sponsor of the KAN conference on hand to welcome all attendees and start the day with us.
Kids created artsy fish from recycled materials, went for a deep dive in discussing their feelings about adoption, and enjoyed a full day of engaging with other kids their own age who all had been adopted. Parents spent their day collaborating and learning about the impact of stereotypes in adoption. All kids and teens joined their parents at the end of the day for a fun-filled carnival to round out the activities.
