More than 26,000 youth transition out of the foster care system each year. Too many are just not ready.
Without desperately needed financial assistance, family connections, educational, social and emotional support, many of these young people will struggle to overcome adverse situations.
One young adult that is defying the odds is a member of C.A.S.E.’s Live, Learn, Lead (3L) Academy…Stacey Jerome. As many college students graduate during the month of May, we wanted to take a moment to recognize Stacey for her perseverance and determination to overcome the statistical odds of aging out of the foster care system and becoming a college grad.
