Kathy Cook Ravenscroft has spent most of her professional career working in organizations to facilitate development of leaders at all levels.  She led a team at Pepco Holdings in developing a nationally recognized leadership program for front-line supervisors.  Both at PHI and Intelsat, she led efforts to improve performance management processes and provided executive coaching and facilitated team development and process improvement.  She is certified in the use of the Birkman and MBTI. She has served on the boards of professional development groups including the American Society for Training and Development and the Chesapeake Bay Organizational Development Network.

Currently, Kathy is pursuing her interests in social justice as a community volunteer and student.  Previously, she served on the Board of the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County.  She has served youth who are in foster care as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Montgomery County, MD since 2009, partnering with mental health agencies, teachers, counselors, social workers, parents, foster parents and court officials to support the needs and best interests of vulnerable children.

Kathy graduated from American University with a double major in Political Science and Economics and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Marymount University.  She is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland Baltimore, School of Social Work and expects to graduate in May 2019.  She lives with her husband Paul in Olney, MD, and is a one-time foster parent.
